My name is Paul Hobby and I am a native of the Fort Myers/Sanibel Island area. I have been a professional full time fishing guide for the past 25-30 years in this area. I have encountered many changes in our fishery both good and bad and have adjusted to the conditions. I specialize in fly fishing but I also do light tackle fishing as well. This is a no pressure type fishing but we can be as serious as you want to be from sight casting to fish in 1 to 2 feet of water or just going out to catch some fish and have a good time.

You will be fishing from a very well maintained 18 foot Maverick HPX flats skiff that is specially designed for stalking fish in shallow water grassflats and creeks.

One and two anglers are ideal for my boat but we can certainly handle 3 anglers if you prefer.

With Paul Hobby Fishing Charters I take care of each and every one of my guests. Here is your opportunity to fish the pristine waters of Sanibel Island and Pine Island Sound for Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, and more. We meet at the Punta Rassa Boat Ramp right before the bridge.

I offer several options for your SW Florida fishing trip. If you would like a nice half day trip, the cost is only $450; six hour trip is valued at $575; or spend the day for a reasonably priced $700 trip. Your fishing license and gear is provided for in the cost. Here’s a list of items to bring with you: sunblock (preferably not spray), hat, polarized sunglasses, beverages other than water (which I provide), long sleeve fishing shirt, camera, and great attitude!

When you fish with Paul Hobby Fishing Charters, I provide G. Loomis rods, Shimano and Penn reels, super-braid fishing lines, DOA and Rip Tide lures, or live bait if you prefer. If you’re interested in fly fishing, I can provide Scott Fly Rod’s new Meridian fly rod – probably the best rod you’ve ever thrown!

For a great day on the water, book your next fishing trip with Paul Hobby Fishing Charters! See you on the water.
