Dream Catchers Charters and Captain Connor Barr welcome you and your guests to Michigan’s phenomenal fisheries. They’ll give you a unique and challenging fishing trip you can only find on the freshwater of Michigan’s lakes and rivers.
Dream Catchers Charters is owned and operated by Veteran Connor Barr in the Metro Detroit area. Captain Connor has been fishing since he was a little boy. His love of the outdoors was honed by his time with his father. He started his charter business in 2019. Capt. Connor offers a variety of services both common and uncommon. Captain Connor enjoys teaching anglers of all skill level different methods of fishing and the love of fishing.
Captain Connor helms a 20’ Sport Fisherman powered by a 115HP Mercury engine. His vessel is outfitted with a casting platform, live well, and a wireless trolling motor. USCG approved safety gear as well as up to date electronics such as a GPS and fish finder are also on board. You will need to bring a Michigan fishing license with you before your trip with Dream Catchers Charters. Capt. Connor welcomes children and anglers of all skill level along for an exciting fishing adventure on the freshwaters of the Metro Detroit area.
On your trip with Dream Catchers Charters the rods, reels, tackle, and lures are supplied. Captain Connor will supply fresh bait for your trip too. Captain Connor aims to provide you and your guests the absolute highest chance of the most successful trip possible so you can expect a variety of fishing techniques to stay on the fish. They include jigging, drift fishing, light tackle, pinning, trolling, and many more. Capt. Connor can customize your fishing trip as well.
Dream Catchers Charters have multiple trips for you to choose from depending your desired catch. You’ll fish the Detroit River and the robust St. Clair River in search of your prey. Your targeted species include Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass, Sturgeon, Muskie, and Walleye. After your successful trip, the First Mate will clean and fillet your catch. However, Sturgeon and Muskie are strictly catch and release only.

Jigging on the Detroit river in April is 2nd to especially in size and numbers! Various launches are used. Jigging can be done on St. Clair River as well. All equipment, tackle and plastics are provided. Anglers are responsible for license, weather appropriate clothing and snacks/drinks (non alcoholic only)

Unique to the St. Clair River, whipping is a fast paced style of fishing done at night and stationary. It is done with multiple lures and it is not uncommon to catch 2 or more fish at once! Trolling Lake St. Clair is an adventure with every trip. Utilizing a variety of different trolling methods produces a multi species trip including walleye, muskie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass perch and other various species you just never know what is coming up next! All gear is supplied as well as bait and lures leaving you to relax and watch for the trolling boards to go back! Here is your chance to chase Michigan's very own river monster! reaching lengths over 6 feet long and well over 100 lbs the Sturgeon proves to be one of the best fighting and most entertaining fish to catch. Sturgeon will frequently jump straight out of the water straight into the air and make explosive runs ripping 200 plus feet of line off the real in a matter of seconds! These fish are truly modern day dinosaurs and are a real treat to see up close and then after a recovery period they swim back into the depths! All sturgeon trips are strictly catch and release.
