Offering half day inshore, full day inshore, and 6-hour nearshore/offshore trips for groups of four, Hooker Charters & Guide Service will work hard to get you on the fish. You will target a variety of species, including Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Redfish, Sheepshead, Flounder, and Spotted Seatrout, just to name a few. Captain Bill invites anglers of all skill level aboard for a fun and educational day of fishing.
Your trip takes place aboard a beautiful 24ft Contender center console fishing vessel. We’re powered by a 300HP Yamaha engine to get the the fishing grounds quick, and we have a wireless trolling motor to then sneak up on the fish. GPS and Fishfinder navigation helps us to track down the schools of fish. We’ll have our lines in the water in no time!
Techniques offered by Hooker Charters & Guide Service include bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning. We also have spear fishing equipment for those ready to jump in the water and experience this fun way of fishing (snorkel equipment also provided). We use heavy and light tackle depending on the technique, all your fishing gear is provided in cost of the trip.
You’ll want to bring your Florida Fishing License with you; just a reminder: those under 16 years old and older than 65 years old do not require fishing licenses. If you need to purchase a license, these are available online or at the nearby bait & tackle shop.
Passengers should also bring along food and drinks for the day (water is important to stay hydrated in the hot Florida sun). Polarized glasses, a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray are also recommended. Captain Bill is great with kids and families, so bring the crew and let’s get you hooked up!

Really Funn FIshing Trip

Really, I was not enthusiastic about going fishing--- even on beautiful Lake George. But my son encouraged me to go with them, and I am so happy that I did. Captain Jason has the perfect personality for this endeavor--- he is calm, pleasant, and competent and helpful. There were 4 children fishing on the boat, and whenever one caught a fish, Jason was there to remove the fish from the hook, hold long enough for a photo, and re-bait the hook. He chatted with the adults, and made our afternoon ( noon-4) wonderful. This will become a tradtion on our annual vacation at Lake George!!

Went out with Captain Jason on the evening bass fishing trip (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) on July 14 and had a great time. Took our family of four which includes a 14 and a 12 year old and we were lucky enough to have the boat all to ourselves. The boat is a decent pontoon boat that can seat 10 people and it looked to me like 10 people could all be fishing comfortably at the same time. There is an enclosed portion of the boat that can seat four. The enclosed portion has a very small bathroom that can hold one person at a time. Toilet only; no running water, but the Captain did have a bottle of Purell. We brought sandwiches on the trip and that worked well (there is no food served on the boat). We caught 10 fish among the four of us, so not as many fish as we had hoped, but Captain Jason said the unusually hot weather had warmed the Lake up several degrees and made the more mature fish sluggish and kept them from grouping together in schools. Nobody on any of the charters was having much luck during those days, he said. Jason really seems to know his stuff and moved around to a couple of spots, using sonar to try to find the elusive bass and perch. He is personable and took great care of us, doing absolutely everything from baiting the hooks to teaching our kids how to fish to taking the fish off the hook and releasing. We had a great time and I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

Went lake fishing last week on Hooker Charters. The captain is super attentive and moved around several times to ensure we all caught fish. Overall, if you want to try lake fishing, this is for you. Had a great time and would highly recommend to all ages!

Capt. Jason of Hooker Charters simply knows how to find fish. Our family booked an evening bass fishing trip on Lake George. Capt. Jason's boat had plenty of room for the ten of us and boy did he find us some fish. We must have caught over a hundred fish. Tremendous action, especially for the kids, who tend to be a little impatient. My daughter caught twenty of them, so she was plenty busy. Some nice sized ones too!
