The 18 ft. Flats Boat is perfect for lowcountry fishing in Charleston. Captain Michael is a good pilot and keeps the vessel fishing ready for all passengers. There is a Casting Platform and a Poling Platform for some great fishing action. There is also a live well, and top-quality GPS and Fish Finder navigational equipment. Powered by a F70 HP Yamaha engine, we get to the fishing grounds quickly. Safety equipment includes Personal Floatation Devices (life jackets), Fire Extinguishers, First-Aid Equipment, and Captain Michael is CPR-Trained for any emergencies.
HotFish Charleston specializes in light tackle and fly fishing for the many inshore fish species of Charleston, South Carolina. Some species are catch-and-release, while others we’re able to bag and clean for you at the end of the trip. Fish you can expect to target include Black Drum, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder. We have a great Flood Tide Trip where we pursue tailing Redfish in the grass. This trip is limited to three hours due to the tides.
Whatever Charleston fishing trip you choose with Captain Michael and HotFish Charleston, we include all fishing licenses, fly fishing equipment, conventional rods and reels (if spinning or drift fishing), bait, lures, and tackle. You will want to make sure you bring any snacks or drinks in a small cooler, wear appropriate clothing (light jacket or rain gear may be needed), sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and readiness for a great day of fishing!
