Captain Terry Nied is a full-time U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain and the owner of Kristy Lynn Sportfishing Charters. He operates Kristy Lynn Charters out of Waukegan Harbor in Waukegan, Illinois. With more than 30 years of fishing experience on Lake Michigan, Captain Terry holds one of the oldest charter licenses on the Lake. Booking a fishing trip with a full-time captain ensures that you won't spend any wasted time deciding where to go or what to use.

Captain Terry helms a 34’ Sport Fisherman powered by dual 270HP Chevy engines. This impressive vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. Captain Terry’s boat it is fully rigged with state-of-the-art navigational electronics and sport fishing equipment. You will also find outriggers, downriggers, and a cooler on board. There’s a full kitchen and a well-equipped bathroom on board as well. The Kristy Lynn meets and even exceeds all U.S.C.G. safety and equipment requirements.

Kristy Lynn Charters will provide you with quality fishing equipment such as rods, reels, lures, and tackle. Captain Terry is a successful and skillful Captain with vast knowledge of Lake Michigan and the fishing techniques that are going to have you reeling in the beauties that call these waters home. Fun Captain
We had an awesome afternoon fishing with Captain Terry on the Kristy Lynn. Ended up with 13 fish in about 4 hours, about half and half lake trout and salmon. A couple of good size lake trout! Captain Terry was awesome, super chill guy with tons of experience and stories to share. He helped my young cousins with landing their fish and gave them a great experience. The boat is a little on the older side but has an awesome upper deck type area to hang out, get some great views and watch the fishing action! There is also a comfy sofa protected from the wind and plenty of space for everyone to catch their fish - at one point we had three on at the same time!! Also the docking spot is beyond convenient, you can park 5 feet from the boat so no hauling coolers around the docks. Would reccomend this trip for sure!!

Awesome day on the water
This was a Birthday present for my daughter and was her first fishing trip. We had an awesome time and caught 9 rainbows between us. It was windy and the water choppy. My thanks and our deepest appreciation to Terry and his crewman for doing their best to make this a successful and safe outing. We’ll be back.

Great family trip
We had a great family experience. Captain Terry was outstanding and great with our 8 year old and 12 year old sons. He put us on the fish and gave us an experience we haven’t stopped talking about. We will definitely make this a yearly trip with captain Terry.
