Whether you’re looking to fly fish or lure fish we have the expertise to help you land your trophy. All of our trips are aboard either a drift boat or a raft and come with a shore-side lunch. Montana Mountain Lion Adventures is owned and operated by Scott and Jody Cargill. Over the last two decades Scott has honed his guiding skills. Most of the year Scott is guiding hunting trips, but during the summer Montana Mountain Lion Adventures offers fishing trips on the Missouri and Madison rivers. Or, for an experience with fewer people, head to Scott and Jody’s backyard to fish the Jefferson river. Secluded pond creek fishing trips are also available on private property. Montana rivers are known for the beautiful scenery and healthy trout population. We do have rod and reels available to rent, or feel free to bring your own rod and tackle; and definitely bring your camera! We do provide flies and lures at the start of the day; however you will be charged for any lost tackle at the end of the trip. Whether you’re a novice or expert fly fisherman/woman we can help you build the Montana river fishing trip of a lifetime. The trout in Montana is the biggest pull for anglers. Montana Mountain Lion Adventures fishes for Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Whitefish. We specialize in fly fishing, but can also go spinning, drift fishing, or fishing with light tackle. We ask that anglers be at least 9 years old as these techniques may be difficult for younger anglers. Montana Mountain Lion Adventures offers trips perfect for two passengers. Jefferson River Float Fishing Trip

One of the most underrated and overlooked rivers in Montana. The "Jeff" produces some of the largest brown trout in the state of Montana. This river has very minimal crowds, great scenery, abundant wildlife, and trophy fish. It is finicky for the fly fisher resulting in individuals who seek out quality over quantity. It can be carnage with lures! Located only 12 miles from our lodge; we know this river like the back of our hand.
