Oilfield Outkasts Charters is the go-to crew for anglers looking to fish the untapped Federal Waters of Freeport! Only select charter boats in Freeport hold Federal fishing permits allowing them to guide clients outside of the 9mi State Water line that restricts the vast majority of other charter operations. Less fishing pressure allows the gamefish to fully mature, reaching sizes that most anglers can only dream about!
A good rule of thumb is the further you venture out, the bigger the fish get. Depending on the trip you decide to reserve, the Oilfield Outkasts Charter team will have you fishing between 20mi-100mi off the coast chasing the gamefish of your choosing. Of course, your Captain will work with you to fill your group in before the trip to let you know which species are being caught most frequently. At different times of the year you can expect to catch Red Snapper, Wahoo, Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Tilefish, Grouper, Tuna, and many more species.
Full day, 8hr trips are able to accommodate a maximum of 6 anglers, not including your Captain or mate. The longer trips are limited to a maximum of 4 anglers, given the duration of the trip and potential size of the fish that’ll be joining you on board. All of the fishing equipment you’ll be using on these trips will be provided and are included in the cost of the trip. You’re responsible for bringing drinks, snacks, and a valid fishing license. The Oilfield Outkasts crew are ready to work their tale off for you, please remember to take care of your mate at the end of the trip! Gratuities are very much appreciated.
Oilfield Outkasts maintain a fleet of 2 federally permitted offshore vessels, “Killing Time” and “Hitch Life”. If you find yourself on either boat, you’ll be in for a treat. They’ve been outfitted with a range of fish finding electronics and equipped with top of the line fishing tackle. These fish won’t know what hit them!
