As seen on SportChannel’s Reel Bragging Rights – Run N’ Gun Outfitters LLC is based in Venice, Louisiana – arguably the top fishing destination in the country. We specialize in light tackle inshore fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Red Snapper and Cobia. With years of experience fishing the lower Mississippi river delta, Captain Jon will do everything in his power to make your trip the trip of a lifetime!

Located in the beautiful Southeast Louisiana, Venice is one of the most prestigious fishing destinations; a true sportsman paradise! Run N’ Gun Outfitters is dedicated to providing customers with an amazing fishing adventure, whatever your passion might be.

Our specialty is shallow water stalking of speckled (spotted) trout. Also try float or fly fishing for truly memorable battles with hard charging redfish! All inshore fishing is from a Skeeter zx24v with a quiet Mercury Verado 300 HP four stroke. Whether we’re bottom fishing, jigging, or spinning, we’ll have a great day on the water!

If offshore fishing is more your speed,  hop aboard our 36’ Yellowfin or 42’ Custom Aluminum to target tuna, marlin, wahoo and more! The Gulf of Mexico has tons to offer year round, just let Captain Jon know what you’re looking for, and we can help you out!

Run N’ Gun Outfitters has boats equipped with all required safety features: life jackets, fire extinguishers, and First-Aid Equipment; as well as flares, VHF Radio, and a crew trained in CPR-life saving skills.

When you book a trip with Run N’ Gun Outfitters we provide the bait & lures, rods & reels. Drinks and snacks are also provided, and we’ll clean & fillet what you catch! *Be sure to bring your own fishing license (fishing licenses are NOT provided per Louisiana state laws), sunscreen or light rain gear (depending on the weather).

Come to Venice, Louisiana for a couple of days and enjoy many types of adventures with Run N’ Gun Outfitters!

Combo Red Snapper and Redfishing trip begins at "safe light" and returns at around 230pm. The trip begins typically with a 35 to 45 minute commute into the Gulf of Mexico to the shallow water oil rigs surrounding the Mississippi River delta. We will begin by bottom dropping medium heavy rigs to many hungry species of rig fish. Depending on the opening/closing dates of the recreational season it will typically be available from May 1st until August 31st for state waters only (9 miles offshore). Once the snapper limit is reached or timing is right we will speed back into the marsh to pursue the redfish for the remainder of the day. Weather is important to safety and fishability and can cause trips to be changed and/or cancelled by the captain.
