Captain Champ believes that fishing is for everyone and his Charter is child-friendly. Looking for the perfect family adventure? Why not try scalloping? Your captain is more than happy to guide you to the popular Floridan-style Easter egg hunt and snorkeling equipment is included to help you spot your scallops. We will be fishing and scalloping on the Gulf of Mexico grass Flats out of Keaton Beach, Florida.

Keaton Beach is the perfect beach hideaway located on the Gulf Coast of Florida. To reach this quaint town: drive due west from Gainesville, Florida for about two hours. You’ll get a glimpse of Florida’s agricultural community, and see lots of swamps as you get closer to the Gulf. Don’t worry, you’ll soon be fishing those flats for some great grub!

Bring your group of four aboard Salty Tails Charters’ 20ft Island Bay Sportsman. This vessel is perfect fishing the flats and inshore waters of the Gulf. We also have top navigational equipment and all USCG Safety Features, including life jackets for those 6yrs and older. (Please no children under six years old). We care about the safety of your trip, and all equipment is replaced and updated to ensure we have all First-Aid and necessary equipment.

On your Keaton Beach fishing trip Salty Tails Charters provides everything you need for a successful day of fishing. Items included in the cost of your trip include your fishing license, lures, rods, reels, and tackle. We’ll fishing with light tackle, either bottom fishing or drift fishing depending on what we’re catching. Whatever your skill level, Captain Champ is happy to instruct and guide as needed.

Fish you can catch at Keaton Beach include Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, and Black Seabass just to name a few. A really fun family adventure is to collect Scallops! Captain Champ will provide snorkeling equipment and nets to collect these small clams. It’s a fun Easter egg hunt type adventure that every kid loves!
