Captain Joshua Gisclair will be commanding the vessel on your backcountry fishing charter adventure. A Bayou Lafourche native, Capt. Joshua started fishing since he was a kid. He developed a strong passion for fishing growing up and he is always looking to show all of his clients just how fun it can be. He loves teaching people how to fish and nothing makes him happier than when one of his clients reel in a big catch.

Your outdoor fishing journey will take place in Cut Off, Louisiana and could go on to explore the fishing grounds near Larose, Galliano, Golden Meadow, Lake Salvador, Little Lake, Lake Barre, and many other wonderful locations in Southern Louisiana.

Capt. Joshua has a stunning Skiff 185 flats boat that is absolutely perfect for backcountry and flats fishing in Louisiana. She runs on a 115hp Yamaha engine and has enough room for you and one other guest. This fishing vessel features a casting platform, poling platform, and a livewell.

We offer full and half day trips that provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait needed for a successful trip. Fly fishing equipment is included for those who want to try a more unique method of catching fish. We will clean your catch and prepare it for you to take back home or to a restaurant for cooking options.

These swampy marshes of South Louisiana are teeming with life throughout the year. Our trips love to target the likes of Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. Capt. Joshua would be happy to teach you about the different fishing techniques he uses to catch these fish including fly fishing, spinning, and light tackle fishing.

Half Day Trip (AM)
Wife and I only caught 1 fish, but we saw them all day. Josh was amazing and patient. We are not anglers in the slightest. I missed 3 others I easily should have set the hook on. But it was a beautiful day. A great Boat. And a great experience. It was by far the biggest fish I’ve ever caught and enough to have me itching to come back.

Full Day Trip
Josh was amazing! I. went on a full day trip with my fiancé and he was extremely paitient with her when she would get tangled and things like that. he put on us on tons of speckled trout and several reds. we had a run of 30 Minto an hour where every cast we made we were catching trout. will definitely be booking another full day with him when I don’t have the misses so we can fish harder and longer.
