Spend the day on the water with South Padre Fishing Charter and Captain George Strader for a fun and adventurous day of fishing! Captain George Strader is the owner and operator of South Padre Fishing Charter. He is a Port Isabel native and has been fishing his whole life in the Laguna Madre area. Captain George enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge with others. He welcomes families with children as well as anglers of all skill level. Your trip will take place aboard a 24’ flats boat powered by a 250HP Yamaha engine. She has a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots ensuring you will get to the local honey holes in a timely manner. Up to date navigational equipment is outfitted as well as a live well for fresh bait and power poles. All USCG approved safety gear is available for your safety and security as you head out on the water with South Padre Fishing Charter. South Padre Fishing Charter will provide you and your guests with top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fresh bait will also be provided. Captain George offers a morning half day trip and an afternoon half day trip that runs into the evening. He provides water but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks and store them in the cooler packed with ice on board. Let Captain George build a trip around your specific wishes and needs. After all, it’s all about having fun and catching lots of fish. On your trip with South Padre Fishing Charter you will be going after many different inshore and nearshore species including Black Drum , Grouper, Ladyfish, Red Snapper, Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Flounder, King Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Sharks, Spanish Mackerel, and Triggerfish. Captain George will guide you in using many different fishing techniques to get your targeted species including bottom fishing, drift fishing, and light tackle. State Water REEF FISHING OFF SHORE
We had a really great time today. Captain Daniel was wonderful. He did a fantastic job of not only finding fish, but even multiplied the catching opportunities by baiting, cutting fresh fish for large bait, and even fishing along too and handing off the rods for the catch. He made all three of us feel safe and delivered exceptional service to ensure we each got out of the trip what we expected. Despite not being able to do the reef because of high winds making that questionable for safety, Captain Daniel kept trying different locations and techniques to help us find and catch fish. We caught our limit of Red drum and also several trout, mullet, catfish and other. The gentleman that did the filleting was amazing to watch. The boat was superior to most other boats we saw on the water and was clean, comfortable and well equipped. we had 5 hours of fun memories with our grandson. The Sprenkle’s from Missouri.

5 Hour Trip – Off-Season Special
George was very professional and knowledgeable. There were five of us, including my two young grandsons. After a little slow start, George kept us moving until we found a great spot. Everyone had non stop action and we took home almost 40 fish, including some large Black Drum. Great day, well worth the cost. We highly recommend George.

State Water REEF FISHING OFF SHORE
Captain Jorge and his new 600 HP ? Shallow Sport X3 yeah baby. Super windy hardly anyone out at the bay. Managed to pick a legal red and 2 legal trout through all of he catfish. About to grill those drumnow Baja style tacos. This man is the business. Super knowledgeable easy going yet relentless fish hunter. And that boat? Chop much? no. Runs on top of it and does it fast. Drift is predictable. Never learned more about fishin in 6 hours before, awesome! Very fun go for it.
