Our inshore fishing charters begin in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Captain Shane will work hard to put you right where the fish are biting. He may lead you to the nearby fishing grounds of Destin, Hogtown Bayou, Miramar Beach, Grassy Cove, Big Hammock Point, Choctaw Beach, and many other popular locations around the Choctawhatchee Bay.
All the excitement begins the minute you hop aboard Capt. Shane’s gorgeous 22ft Sportsman 227 Masters bay boat. This boat is perfect for inshore Destin fishing charters! Her 150hp Yamaha engine can take us to all the fishing hotspots at speeds up to 35 knots. On deck, you will find power poles, a cooler for your catches, a live baitwell, all the required safety equipment, a wireless trolling motor, and all of the latest fish finding technologies. There is enough room on board for you and 4 of your friends or family members to enjoy some amazing Choctawhatchee Bay fishing!
We offer half day fishing trips covering the inshore waters of the Destin, Florida area. On each trip, you are provided with everything you need for a successful day of fishing. You will not need to bring anything except for snacks, drinks, and some sunscreen. We also offer a special 2 hour trips designed for kids who might grow tired after a few hours of fishing. Capt. Shane is very patient with children and loves getting the younger generations excited about fishing.

What an awesome family adventure and great fishing! You won't find a better guide to provide such a great experience on the water. On top of that, Captain Shane knows where the fish are. I have been on many charters with lots of different guides, and this will go down as one of my favorites. Captain Shane had the right demeanor and personality for the kids and family, and balanced that really well with a strong desire to catch fish. We limited on trout while we watched all the boats around us doing nothing. It was pretty funny, because those boats kept moving closer and closer to us. I would highly recommend Captain Shane and Southern Renegade Charters. We will be back next year!

Our experience with Shane was wonderful. I loved Shane's knowledge of the fish and water. He knew every name for every fish. My son caught almost every fish in the alphabet from a Lizard fish to a pig fish that oinked. My dad and son loved their time from the boat ride to the huge redfish we caught that topped off our day! He made my son feel special and was determined that we have a good time! We had a nice, yummy dinner that night. The overall experience was just what we had hoped for and more. It was a pleasure to be with someone who grew up on these waters.

Capt. Shane is the reel deal! His excitement and enthusiasm overwhelmed our hesitancy and anxiety over fishing in the Bay. He knew exactly where the fish were and guided my 7 year old daughter to catch the most fish. All in all, we caught and released some monster redfish and saltwater catfish. We caught some keeper redfish and Capt. Shane cleaned and even provided a recipe to make this the best fish dinner my family has ever had. Thanks Capt. We look forward to next time.
