Trout Fishing North Georgia

Capt. Joe DiPietro Blue Ridge, GA Licensed Insured

Captain Joe DiPiertro brings you Trout Fishing North Georgia, the best float trip and trout fishing experience for your family.  Offering half and full day guided drift boat trips on the Toccoa River tailwater, near Blue Ridge and Ellijay, Georgia, Captain Joe can customize the perfect trip to get you hooked up. Trout Fishing North Georgia is the north Georgia mountain’s only trout fishing guide service that offers both spinning and fly fishing trips. All gear and tackle is provided for clients. Kids are welcome.

Trout Fishing North Georgia offers trips for two anglers – perfect for Parent/Child trips or your favorite fishing buddy (which could also be your child!). All you need to bring are valid Georgia fishing licenses for each angler, and a willingness to explore the great outdoors. We’ll drift down the rivers and streams of North Georgia and find the Trout in no time.

Captain Joe has fished every pond, river, lake, swamp, and canal that he’s come across. He’s been fishing since he was a child, and rediscovered his love for fly fishing during college. He has since become a full-time professional guide, turning his passion into a career. He’s happy to take customers of all skill level out for a day of fishing. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never held a fly, or have owned your gear for years. Captain Joe will teach you the basics, or offer tricks to improve your technique. Everyone who fishes with Trout Fishing North Georgia learns something new AND has a great time fishing!

You’ll fish from Captain Joe’s 16’ Aire pontoon. It provides a great platform for anglers young and old, and is accessible to those in wheelchairs. All safety gear is checked and updated regularly, and Captain Joe has a cooler for your drinks and snacks for the day. Also consider packing a hat and sunscreen for your trip. And of course the camera, you won’t want to miss the smiles when the Trout are reeled in!

Captain Joe encourages catch-and-release to help sustain the North Georgia Trout fishery. However, if you would like to harvest your catch, Captain Joe can clean and package it for you at the end of the trip.
