Islamorada Spring Fishing Report

As the weather starts to warm the fishing heats up! On the reef the yellow tail
Snapper bite will improve as the fish begin prespawn gathering. The sail fish will start there push through the area as they move south. Cobia will move into the area as they begin migrating. Out in the deep the sea mounts hold the resident black fin tuna. Amberjacks invade the seamount to spawn with fish up to 90 pounds. The VERY LARGE sharks will also be there for catch and release. As we move into late March and April the mahi will start showing. Some of the largest mahi of the year will show up in April! Conditions can be lake Atlantic to the Atlantic ocean depending on the winds but over some of the best fishing of the years in the next three months!
