October Fishing report

Posted October 17, 2018

The fish are biting. Redfish, Snook, Trout on the inshore side have been roaming the mangrove shore lines and grass flats. We have been having a decent catch on every trip. Due to the red tide this year Redfish, Snook, And Trout are all catch and release for the time being to let our fishery replenish what was lost this year. A quick picture and release still makes memories that will last a lifetime.

The near shore/offshore bite has been awesome. Most charters are producing over 100 fish . Weather has been nice with calm seas . Grouper, Lane Snapper, Gray Snapper, Yellow Tail Snapper, Sea Bass, Porgy and have also been getting some Mahi on the offshore trips. Nearshore trips are not all the big ones but the bite is consistent and we always bring home dinner. The Offshore trips we venture out further and deeper and the fish tend to get a little bit bigger out there. Either way the bite has been great all around.
